Recovery Technician

Department: Northpoint Washington
Location: Edmonds, WA

Job Title: Recovery Technician

Reports To: Lead Recovery Technician

Shift: Sunday & Monday Swing Shift 12pm-8pm; Wednesday Day Shift 6am-6pm

Compensation: $21-25/hour + Shift Differentials

Status: Full-Time

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. Northpoint has grown from two facilities to fifteen today entirely on a de novo basis with plans to expand rapidly in both existing and new markets. POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Recovery Technician is responsible for attending to the safety and wellbeing of patients, facility, and supporting our multidisciplinary treatment team in accordance with policy and procedure.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • While rounding the facility (safety checks), there will be daily Interaction with patients. You may observe behaviors and will communicate significant observations to nursing and counseling staff
  • Provide documentation/information regarding patient activities and behavior as required in policies and procedures
  • Participate in maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe environment, and report needs for repairs and maintenance to appropriate staff
  • Support admissions and discharges of patients; ie safety search of belongings, tour of facility
  • Notify nursing and counseling staff should an emergency arises
  • Support and assist with non-therapeutic activity groups and document according to policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Transport patients to offsite activities and appointments
  • Setting and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries with patients
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid drivers’ license and a safe driving record
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and random for upon reasonable suspicion of use
  • Completion of orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 90 days of employment
  • Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
  • Completion of WATCH background check
  • Completion of Motor Vehicle Report check
