Reports To: Corporate Controller

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. Northpoint has grown from two facilities to fifteen today entirely on a de novo basis with plans to expand rapidly in both existing and new markets. POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Northpoint team, the Accountant is responsible for assisting the Controller with maintaining the daily accounting operations as well as financial statement preparation for the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with the monthly and annual close process, and prepare and post journal entries
  • Develop monthly accruals based on analysis of expense and balance sheet accounts
  • Record daily cash transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliation
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, review for input accuracy, and budget to actual analysis
  • Assist in preparation of weekly financial reports for management to include AP and cash on hand
  • Maintain subsidiary schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Answer accounting related questions by researching and interpreting procedures, inputs, and results
  • Assist with annual financial audit process
  • Maintain financial document retention files
  • Prepare and/or review expense reports and credit card transactions for accuracy and proper expense coding to the General Ledger
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Other appropriate services and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or commensurate experience required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as an Accountant; preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with a growing company with multiple entities preferred
  • Customer service oriented

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting systems
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational skills
  • Comfortable analyzing information and dealing with complexity
  • Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
  • Social ease and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with a variety of different people and personality types
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record

  • Though this position is not permanently located in a treatment facility setting, exposure to emotionally impaired patients is possible, and may be frequent. Stress ranges from low to high, depending on the situation
  • Must have the reasonable ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, see, and hear. Must be reasonably capable of lifting fifteen (15) pounds
  • Indoor treatment setting and office environment
  • Use of a mouse and keyboard
  • Some travel may be required, inclusive of overnight stays and weekends

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and upon reasonable suspicion of use
  • Completion of new employee orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work, including acknowledgment of all Company policies
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 90 days of employment
  • Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
  • Completion of background and professional reference checks
  • Completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check

Compensation:

  • $60,000 - $70,000 annual salary
